“ This little place was amazing for breakfast. Definitely the best breakfast I've ever had. I had poached eggs and bacon and side of mushrooms and my partner had the eggs Ben o Dick. The portions were huge for the price and the mushrooms were devine and a the eggs were burst beautifully when you cut them. The service was so friendly. The place had a lovely boho/relaxed vibe with great kitchen decor to admire which eating. Can't fault this place at all. ”
“ We love The Pig and Pastry it's a must to visit whenever we are in York overnight. Despite being infrequent visitors (owing to living 100miles away) we always receive a warm welcome. The place has an upbeat and slightly hipster quirky feel, but alllllllll are made very welcome. The staff handled our order without issue making my little boy an off menu dish without even raising an eyebrow making a very happy 6year old future customer. The place has been maintained well and looks as fresh as ever. even if we are a bit disappointed that there is a more single table layout and less sort of communal tables feel. ”
“ We was staying in an Airbnb literally 30 seconds walk away and popped in for breakfast before a day of being a tourist. Highly highly recommend this place, food was absolutely beautiful. Waffles were divine and the meat was cooked perfectly! Coffee went down well too. Really nice comforting and warm reception by the staff. If we ever stay again, will pop in for breakfast again! ”
“ What a lovely find. So attentive and helpful to us. They even gave my son a waffle (on the house) at the end of the meal after hearing him talk about them. ”
“ Visited here for our anniversary breakfast. First time and we were not disappointed. Service was good, fast and friendly. Food was perfect, actually the best breakfast we have ever had out anywhere. Great portion size and so tasty. Tea and coffee was nice and the cake was delicious too. Cute, quaint little place. Thanks so much ”
“ Great food, lovely staff and a really unique quirky atmosphere. We selected from the brunch menu and were not disappointed. Offering children's portions from the menu would be the icing on the cake. Excellent coffee as well from a local roastery. ”
“ Lovely place. Hospitable, attentive, swift service. Delicious food. Halloumi and mushroom butty with garlic mayo was excellent and so was chorizo and greens eggs benedict on sourdough toast. And a cute cosy vibe. Ticked all the boxes. ”
“ Fantastic meal as always, you could choose anything off the menu and it would surpass expectations. Staff are so lovely and welcoming, especially towards my little boy who is only 15 months old. Staff continued to check in on him, brought him his own plate and spoon so he could share my meal and ensured he had the best time. He loved the decor, as he’s in his farm loving phase, all the pigs dotted around brought him so much joy. Looking forward to our next visit! ”
